Description
As a native plant of Europe, initially the bachelor’s button grew as a weed in cornfields and became commonly known as Cornflower. Colors, along with this blue, include purple, white, and pink. Depending on the climate zone, they may be annuals or perennials. Sadly, for the Cornflower, they have made the USDA’s list of Introduced, Invasive and Noxious Plants and are prohibited in the state of North Carolina. Plant with caution.
