There is no more beautiful city on a sunny day than Seattle, Washington. With the protected inland waters of Puget Sound, it is a safe and busy harbor for may sea-going vessels. Included in that number are two of ferries of the Washington State Ferry system. As a part of the state highway system, ferries connect the mainland with peninsulas and islands of Puget Sound waters. The two ferries observed in this image are destined for Bremerton and Bainbridge Island. Touring in Seattle? Make it a point to ride one of these boats. Incredible scenery with the options of lunch on dinner shore-side before re-boarding the ferry for the return trip.
Faithe specializes in landscapes, seascapes, weathered structures, lighthouses, some macro floral photography, objects as art and abstracts from nature. She primarily shoots during the beginning and ending of daylight hours, seeks the off-beaten path, loves to catch reflections in quiet waters, and is delighted when her in-the-camera images satisfy her critical eye with only limited post-production touch-ups.
