When a fishing dock from the last century was condemned and dismantled, funds were set aside for a replacement. This is that new Harper Pier (known to locals as Harper Dock). The dock ramps down to a fishing platform. It is anticipated that this replacement dock will be as popular and frequented as its century-old predecessor. Harper was one of the stops in the era of the mosquito fleet that serviced the transportation needs and delivery of goods to remote settlements around the waters of Puget Sound. Present-time Harper is a quiet, small community where many residents receive U.S. Mail at a Port Orchard street address. Harper is mostly just a curve in the road along the shores of Puget Sound and within a mile of the Southworth Ferry Ternimal.
Faithe specializes in landscapes, seascapes, weathered structures, lighthouses, some macro floral photography, objects as art and abstracts from nature. She primarily shoots during the beginning and ending of daylight hours, seeks the off-beaten path, loves to catch reflections in quiet waters, and is delighted when her in-the-camera images satisfy her critical eye with only limited post-production touch-ups. Creating specialty note cards for clients is satisfying work, as well. With all rights reserved, U.S. and International Copyright Laws protect all photographic images on this website.
