Description
Washington State Ferry and tug boat only appear to be on a collision course. With the tug on the rear of the barge, it is pushing in the opposite direction of the ferry's travels. Also, one needs to consider that the telephoto lens created an illusion of distance between the marine traffic that is not entirely accurate. Puget Sound is a busy waterway. Visible throughout all hours of the day and night are ferries, container ships, cruise ships in the summer season, pleasure boats, tugs and the barges they push or pull, kayaks, and the occasional personal water craft and sail boards. In the fog, ferries reduce their speed significantly, but with modern and sophisticated radar equipment, they continue to operate their routes.

Beautiful work, Faithe. There's so much to like here. I especially appreciate that you used the weather, with the fog, to your advantage here and came up with a lovely scene in Puget Sound.
