Description
Normally illuminated with white lights, Seattle's waterfront attraction -- the Great Wheel -- changes to colored lights for special occasions. The Ferris wheels' whirling red lights, when this image was taken, coincided with Valentine's Day. The high-rise buildings and skyscrapers bathed in gold had a greater source to thank than LED lights. The last rays of the setting sun bounced off the glass and polished stones until darkness took over. The Emerald City, that sits on Elliott Bay in Puget Sound, once again posed to shift from a productive bee hive during the day to a place that many call home at night.
