Boeing C-17 Globemaster III is a military cargo and transport aircraft with large cargo capacity and in-flight refueling. This specific plane, stationed at Joint Base Lewis McChord, is one of the 62nd Airlift Wing - a wing of the United States Air Force. On the day the image of this Boeing C-17 Globemaster III was captured, it was making a practice run in advance of a fly-over at CenturyLink field in Seattle. The fly-over marked the opening home game for the Seattle Seahawks for the 2016 NFL season. (A game in which the Seattle SeaHawks defeated the Miami Dolphins.)
