Mt. Shuksan is an uplifted mountain located within North Cascades National Park in Washington State. A close neighbor is volcanic Mt. Baker – the northern most volcano in the state, third highest mountain, and close to the Canadian border. This fall scene highlights Mt. Shuksan’s reflection in Picture Lake. Although the road to this location is closed much of the winter, Mt. Baker offers year-round access just 30 miles east of Bellingham, WA. Camping, fishing and hiking are popular during the warm-weather months and winter sports, including skiing, are available from early in the fall until early spring.
Faithe specializes in landscapes, seascapes, weathered structures, lighthouses, some macro floral photography, objects as art and abstracts from nature. She primarily shoots during the beginning and ending of daylight hours, seeks the off-beaten path, loves to catch reflections in quiet waters, and is delighted when her in-the-camera images satisfy her critical eye with only limited post-production touch-ups.
