Washington State operates one of the nation's largest fleet of passenger and vehicle ferries. They are part of the state highway system with landings throughout Puget Sound. The Ferry Issaquah is seen here as it pulls up to the dock at Southworth. Southworth is the third stop of the triangle run between Fauntleroy (West Seattle), Vashon Island and Southworth (Kitsap Peninsula). Puget Sound can be prone to fog in June as was the case when this image was captured. The city of Seattle is obscured in the fog on the distant shore. On a morning like this, fog horns pierce the quiet of this rural setting.

Faithe specializes in landscapes, seascapes, weathered structures, lighthouses, some macro floral photography, objects as art and abstracts from nature.
